Episode Notes

Episode 1 - The Escalator Pitch Podcast - Indiana Smith and the Palace of the Unmade Sequel (ft. Lloyd Kaufman)

Segment One - John Brennan ("The Last Drive-In w/ Joe Bob Briggs", Troma Entertainment) & Josh Stifter ("Rebel Without a Crew", Flush Studios) introduce The Escalator Pitch Podcast. They quickly realize someone's probably banging to this! Next thing you know, it's a full-blown discussion about Frank Darabont's unproduced Indiana Jones part 4 screenplay. John and Josh dig deep to compare and contrast the superior Darabont draft, "Indiana Jones and the City of Gods", with the not-so-great finished film, "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". Is George Lucas a pot smoker?

Segment Two (starts at 48:48) - Special guest LLOYD KAUFMAN (President of Troma Entertainment & Creator of The Toxic Avenger) joins John for an enlightening interview. Uncle Lloydie spills the beans about his abandoned and unproduced film projects over the years, both before and during his time with Troma Entertainment. He shares information about two projects he worked on with the great Stan Lee, an awesome-sounding road rage movie called "Road Hogs", and a "Pink Flamingos" sequel with John Waters called "Flamingos Forever". Follow Lloyd and Troma

Segment Three (starts at 1:11:34) - John and Josh pitch their ideas for the next installments of the Indiana Jones franchise. They also read the first round of audience pitches and share their movie theater memories. As always, they end the show with an original song: "Full Blown Quincy Jones"!
